Summer Bucket List
This post is a summer bucket list that is meant to encourage you to try some fun new summer activities. Most of these are usually associated with summer, if you live in a warmer climate and can do them year-round, then by all means do so! I plan on doing most of these activities myself with my husband and family! (This post contain affiliate links.)
Do an outdoor sporty activity you haven’t tried before or haven’t participated in very often.
This can include physical activities like: water skiing, tennis, badminton, jogging, swimming, and hiking for example! Try to try something you aren’t very good at yet, but that you’ve wanted to try before.
Try a less physically demanding activity (especially if you are unable to participate in things like swimming, hiking, etc. for medical reasons).
This includes things like picnics, gardening, BBQs, as well as walking your dog in a different area than you usually do. Be sure to spend time with loved ones too of course and get them in on your fun activities too!
Try a relaxing activity that helps you distract yourself from the heat. These can include:
- Coloring in an adult coloring book .
- Trying a board game you haven’t played before.
- Doing a puzzle .
- Making a summer craft with your kids such as: Ladybugs vs Tadpoles Outdoor Boardgame craft, 4th of July Painted Fireworks, and Pool Noodle DIY Toss Game .
Visit a part of your town/city/county that you haven’t spent much time in.
Get lunch (or a treat such as ice cream) at a place you’ve never tried before! Maybe try an ethnic food you haven’t eaten before such as Korean, Thai, or Japanese cuisine. Maybe eat some Japanese mochi ice cream, which are ice cream rice dumplings, and can be bought at many grocery stores such as Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and Kroger/Ralph’s.
Or try a food you haven’t eaten before that is associated with summer!
Do you have any other fun summer bucket list ideas that I forgot to include? Please share them here with me and let me know your thoughts!
