How are those dream goals coming along? Are you journaling your dreams and goals now? Daring to dream? DO something about these goals, sister! If you missed last week’s post here’s the link to Part 1 of Daring to Dream.
So, for Daring to Dream, Part 2, I want to share some of my current goals and dreams and then share challenges for you gals to try as well! I am stepping out of my comfort zone in a couple areas of my life: beauty and fitness, won’t you join me?
First off I’m having my hair colored in a radical (and somewhat unnatural way) tomorrow! I am nervous, but excited as I wanted to do something unique with my hair for a long time now. The good news is my husband is excited about it as well!
Challenge #1 FOR YOU: DO Something new and bold with your appearance (hair, clothes, hair dye, piercing, etc) that you’ve always wanted to try!
Are there beauty goals or daring things you’ve wanted to do, but are afraid to try? Getting a new haircut or color? Bold eye makeup or lip color? Some crazy looking leggings or a bold printed top that you want to try (I’m already a Lularoe addict, so I personally have that one down by now!)? An unusual nail color? A small tattoo or piercing? I dare you to go out and DO SOMETHING for yourself that is BOLD and uniquely YOU! Be brave! And stay tuned on my Instagram page (@pepaqua) for the photo reveal of my haircolor tomorrow (I will post it here next week).
Below is a recent picture of me before my hair transformation (which happens tomorrow)!
Also the second challenge is a fitness one: I am participating in a 5K Color Run called “Dash & Dye” that supports a local school. Here’s the thing: I HATE running (but love walking), so this is something I am training for right now since the event is on Sept 24th (a week and a half from today). And I want to crush this goal as I head back down the road to fitness and wellness!
Challenge #2 FOR YOU: Do Something Fitness Related that is new or a challenge for you, make a goal with a deadline:
Are you hesitating on a fitness goal? Putting it off, saying you’ll do it eventually (this was me a few months ago)? Afraid to exercise outside because you are embarrassed about your looks or your lack of fitness right now? Look, I’ll be straight with you, getting fit again isn’t always easy, but it is SO worth it! What fitness goal are you going to crush? Running a 5k? Walking 3 blocks (or less, no judgment here!)? Doing weights at home/at the gym/at all? It’s totally fine to start smaller with a fitness goal and build up to something bigger, that’s what I am currently doing, so I don’t overextend myself on the day of the event! Just get out there and DO SOMETHING fitness related for yourself!
Change your dreams into goals! My number 1 tip for this is give yourself a deadline! If you have a deadline you are more likely to work on it, than if you just talk about it and do nothing else. Progress is still progress!
